Heated Concrete Curing Blankets

From $426.20

Powerblanket heated concrete curing blankets are the ideal choice for any cold weather construction project requiring thaw and cure (medium heat) capabilities. Concrete thawing blankets can thaw frozen ground prior to digging & trenching such as the curing of bridge decks, tilt-up, precast, block walls, footings, flatwork, and much more. Utilizing a revolutionary new heat spreading technology, our electric curing blankets maintain a constant, even temperature while helping to retain the moisture throughout the natural hydrating process. This reduces cure time allowing the desired PSI levels to be reached more quickly. This process protects against cracking, freezing, rapid drying and the reduction of efflorescence throughout the cold and warm seasons.

Multi-Duty temperature models are engineered specifically for multi-use thaw/cure applications. Stay ahead of schedule and start saving time, money and labor with the only thawing and curing heat spreading blanket in the industry. For even faster thawing and melting of snow, see our Extra-Hot line of Powerblankets.

Description

Heated concrete curing blankets offer a unique method for curing concrete in cold and adverse weather conditions. Cold weather can seriously slow down concrete cure time and significantly hold up construction projects. A new concrete pour must maintain a temp above 50°F for 2 days to achieve ideal concreting strength. The Powerblanket heated concrete curing blankets can speed up the process in the cold by curing concrete 2.8 times faster than a typical insulated blanket. These concrete curing blankets are easily transported and installed. Electric curing blankets help maintain ACI compliance for cold-weather concreting. Use heated concrete curing blankets to thaw ground before pouring concrete and again after finishing to keep concrete from freezing.

  • Prevent concrete freezing, cracking and rapid drying by accelerating curing time and increasing concrete PSI.
  • Reach PSI levels in a shorter period of time than conventional curing methods.
  • Maintain moisture retention during the curing process to foster concrete strength development.
  • Protect ground and subgrade from frost, snow and ice buildup prior to pour.
  • Maintain compliance with ACI 306 cold weather requirements.
  • Reduce downtime and scheduling delays thus increasing profitability.
  • Reduce the impact of freeze-thaw cycles and fluctuations in temperatures during the curing process.
  • Multi-duty heat curing blankets can also be used for freeze protection for both materials and machinery.
  • Heavy-Duty, water resistant rip stop vinyl.
  • 120V Standard – 240V option available.
  • ETL certified to the same high electrical standards as other Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL’s) such as UL and CSA.
  • UL/CSA/CE Certified.

FAQs

-60°F Gray Alloy Vinyl (Extreme Product) -20°F Black D-15 Vinyl (Standard Product)

Ready To Ship models come standard at 120VAC, but we offer 208, 240 & 480VAC custom solutions.  Anything we make below 120VAC or over 240VAC, along with anything built to run over 24Amps, will be non-ETL.

This could cause overheating.  NEVER add extra insulation to any of our heating products.  It will void any warranty and MAY BE HAZARDOUS.

All Powerblanket® products are shipped FOB Salt Lake City, UT, 84119.

Thermal Load is the amount of energy required to keep a space or object at a desired temperature.  When the environment is cooler than the desired temperature of the space or object, the thermal load is a heating load and is the amount of energy required to be added to the space or object in order to achieve the desired temperature.  All things being equal, the heating load will increase when the ambient air temperature decreases, or when the wind speed increases, or if the space or object is placed in contact with a large thermal mass, like a cold concrete floor.

Rapid Ramp (RR) Drum/Bucket is 100°F (± 10°F) / 38°C (±5°C)
PRO Drum/Bucket is 145°F (± 5°F) / 63°C (±3°C)
Foam Box Heaters 110°F (±10°F) / 43°C (±5°C)
Tote Heaters 145°F (± 5°F) / 63°C (±3°C)
DEF Tote Heaters 70°F (± 10°F) / 21°C (±5°C)
Gas Cylinder Heaters (propane) 90°F (± 10°F) / 32°C (±5°C)
Multi-Duty (concrete curing) from approximately 100°F to as high as 150°F
Extra Hot (ground thawing) 150°F (± 10°F) / 65°C (±3°C)

A few things may cause this: ambient temperature, wind speeds, product location, and possible additional variables.

Yes. The recommended product line for this is our Ground Thawing blankets

Not typically, it depends on depth of concrete or asphalt but this not an advised solution.

Our two best sellers are the BH55-PRO which heats/protects a 55-gallon drum and the TH275 which heats/protects a 275 gallon IBC tote.

Powerblanket products use a patented heat spreading technology that has revolutionized effective heat spreading.  Powerblanket uses this technology exclusively in all of its products.  Powerblanket products are electrically powered and heated through internal preset thermostats inside the insulated blankets.

No, it will damage the heating components.

Yes, a significant part of our business is designing blankets for custom applications.

Please complete our Powerblanket Custom Questionnaire Form to request a custom product..

Overlapping the heating element of a Powerblanket product could cause it to overheat.  If you don’t have an even thermal load will cause overheating.

All Powerblanket® heated solutions are certified by ETL to UL & CSA safety standards except for our DC, Powerblanket 400 & Heat warmer products.
