Melt-Away mat is made of an electrically operated heating element sandwiched between two protective non-slip rubber surfaces allowing it to endure harsh weather. The Melt-Away mat is less expensive than melting snow through the use of embedded systems, in fact it costs as little as 60 cents a day to operate. Its portability allows it to be used in places where embedded elements cannot. Melt-Away mat is extremely durable and is designed to be left outside for the entire winter season. The Melt-Away mat is not intended to be driven on.

The Melt-Away mat plugs into a standard 120V or 240V outlet, (on select sizes only) melting up to two inches of accumulated snow in less than one hour. It comes with a 6-foot power cord that plugs into standard outlets using its own Equipment Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ELCI). To ensure the product’s reliability, each Melt-Away heated snow-mat is built and tested according to the UL499 and CSA e335-1 electrical standard before leaving our facility. The Melt Away Mat comes with a 2 year manufacturer warranty!
