  • Use a damp cloth soaked in mild soap and water to clean chairmat, if necessary.

  • Folding chairmats must be allowed to sit at room temperature (above 68 degrees Fahrenheit/20 degrees Celsius) for a minimum of four (4) hours before being unfolded.
  • Do not use a chairmat in areas where it will be subjected to temperatures below 60 degrees Fahrenheit (16 degrees Celsius) or above 95 degrees Fahrenheit (35 degrees Celsius).
  • Do not use a cleated chairmat specified for use with carpet on hard flooring surfaces such as wood, tile, stone, concrete or vinyl.
  • We recommend that chairmats not be used in an environment where moisture may be present beneath carpet or other flooring materials.

Warranty

Chair Mat No-Crack Warranty

ES ROBBINS’ No-Crack chairmats are guaranteed free from defects in material and workmanship at the time of sale to original purchaser and will not crack, chip, break or shatter under normal use.

Warranty is void with use of metal casters; placement of furniture or other stationary objects on the chairmat; use of chairmat in an application not recommended for that particular model; cutting or altering of the chairmat in any way and does not cover variations in mat color.

ES ROBBINS will replace a defective chairmat with a like or similar product upon completion of the warranty process. To submit a warranty claim, please contact allMATS.com directly at 1-866-411-MATS. You will need an invoice, packing slip, receipt or your chairmat label as proof of purchase, along with a sample section of your chairmat.

Once approved, your mat will be replaced at no cost. In some cases it may be determined that a higher-grade chairmat is required for your application. If so, your mat may be upgraded for a nominal fee and the replacement mat will carry a new warranty. Return shipping and handling charges will apply on select warranty claims. Replacement mats will arrive approximately 3 weeks after approval of claim.

FAQs

Our chair mats will extend the life of your carpet by spreading out the pressure from the chair casters; in fact, many carpet manufacturers void their warranty when a chair with casters is used without a chair mat. Use of a mat will also reduce fatigue by allowing for easier rolling across your workspace with less back and leg strain.

Our rolled mats respond well to heat. The best options would be placing the mat in direct sunlight or in front of a space heater. Typically rolled mats may need to be left out 48-72 hours before rolling on them.

We offer several different thicknesses of clear chair mats to go on carpeting. Click on the Carpet Thickness Guide link to see how to measure your carpet and match the best product suited for your application.

No. We offer two thicknesses of mats without the AnchorBar cleat system on the underside that are designed to be used on hard floor surfaces including laminate, hardwood, ceramic, tile and other hard flooring. Our chair mats for bare floors have a special texture on the underside that reduces mat movement and keeps the mat securely in place.

You should choose the beveled edge if you will be frequently rolling on and off of your mat. The ramped edge allows for a smoother rolling surface. Beveled edges are recommended with thicker mats. Crystal clear ramped edges give a more finished look to the mat and creates a smooth transition from mat to floor. The overall bevel is slightly wider than our standard beveled edge. Crystal edges are only available on select sizes of chair mats for carpeted surfaces. Straight edges are adequate for small chair mats and mats being used on hard floor surfaces.

A lip is an extension on the chair mat that adds depth to the overall size of the mat. It's purpose is to protect the floor area under your desk. This is really only necessary if you have the ability to roll your chair under your desk when storing it. The lip provides protection for the floor from being scratched by the wheels. In addition, it keeps the wheels from falling off the edge of the mat. Click here for more information on how to measure an office chair mat with a lip.

First of all, that's not possible because we have a No-Crack Guarantee on all chair mats except the Value thickness mats for carpet. Seriously, we realize that anything is possible. If you have a chair mat purchased from allMATS.com, then please contact us directly to discuss the problem. 1-866-411-6287.

You can read our full warranty coverage here.

We do not recommend using metal casters on any type of chair mat or placing furniture directly on the mat. This will void our lifetime warranty.

If you're a "big-boned" person or just have a really heavy chair with wheels, we recommend purchasing our Premium thickness (.200) chair mats, if going on carpet.

Yes. We can produce custom size mats for carpeting or hard floor surfaces. The maximum length cannot exceed 144" (12 feet). Overall width maximum is 72" (6 feet) for carpeted surfaces. 60" (5 feet) is the maximum for hard floor surfaces. You can decide whether you want a lip on the mat or not. In addition, you have the option of a beveled edge or straight edge. We can also build custom shape mats to accommodate for unusual office layouts and unique furniture configurations. Please visit our Custom Shape Chair mats page for more details.

All of our chair mats and deskpads are manufactured in the USA and ship from Alabama.

Most of our mats can ship via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground. They are shipped rolled up. They will need to lay flat for a period of time in order to lay flat. Shipping costs vary greatly as it is dependent on the weight of the mat and where it's shipping to. The mats range in weight from 7 lbs. up to 70 lbs. depending on the size and thickness of the mat. In addition, because these mats are oversized, UPS and FedEx both charge an oversize package fee and residential delivery fee.

GreenGuard Cerfified products are tested and certified to GreenGaurd standards for low chemical emissions into indoor air during product usage. For more information visit www.greenguard.org

A return authorization number must be obtained from our customer service department before any goods are returned.  The authorization number must be clearly marked on the exterior of cartons.  All returned merchandise must be in original cartons and in restockable condition.  All returned goods must be sent freight prepaid and are subject to a 15 percent restocking fee.  Products custom-manufactured to order specifications are not returnable.  No returns will be accepted without a RA #.

You should choose the beveled edge if you will be frequently rolling on and off of your mat. The ramped edge allows for a smoother rolling surface. Beveled edges are almost always more appropriate with thicker mats.

ES ROBBINS chair mats have a lifetime warranty* when the mat is used for the application specified. This warranty is void if metal casters are used, if furniture is placed directly on the mat, if a cleated mat is used on a hard floor surface, or the incorrect mat (i.e., too thin) is used on carpet. The warranty is also void if any party other than ES ROBBINS cuts the mat to a custom size. *Exceptions: Economy thickness – 1 year limited. Printed mats – 1 year limited.

Please fill out the warranty claim form on our website. Proof of purchase and shipping charges may apply.
