Melt-Away portable snow & ice melting rubber stair treads by HeatTrak are an efficient and convenient way to eliminate snow and ice accumulation on stairs and provide a clean and safe passageway. Available in a rubber top surface, the stair tread plugs into any standard 120V or 240V outlet, melting up to two inches of falling snow per hour. No more shoveling, harsh chemicals or expensive embedded melting systems. The Melt-Away Stair Treads are the convenient and reliable solution for removing snow and ice. Melt-Away stair treads are made of an electrically operated heating element sandwiched between two protective non-slip rubber surfaces allowing it to endure harsh weather. The stair treads are less expensive than melting snow through the use of embedded systems, in fact it costs as little as 60 cents a day to operate. They are extremely durable and designed to be left outside for the entire winter season. To ensure the product’s reliability, each product is built and tested according to the UL499 and CSA e335-1 electrical standard before leaving our facility. Each product comes with a 2 year warranty!

Rubber Stair Treads
The stair treads are available in an 11” depths, and widths up to 8'. 11" depth is common under most building codes. Up to 10 rubber stair treads can be in a single group and connected together with a single wire. Each group of stair treads has a 6-foot power cord that plugs into a standard outlet using its own equipment leakage circuit interrupter (ELCI). The stair treads are designed with a series of 5/16” diameter brass grommets along each edge to secure them and prevent movement.

When ordering Rubber Stair Treads please remember they are sold in groups and connected by 1 power plug. As an example, if you have 10 steps, select your size and enter 10 in the quantity box. We will determine the appropriate groupings to send you based on the number of steps you enter in the quantity box.
