Melt-Away portable snow & ice melting aluminum stair treads by HeatTrak are an efficient and convenient way to eliminate snow and ice accumulation on stairs and provide a clean and safe passageway. The Aluminum Stair Treads are designed to endure extra heavy foot traffic. They are made of extruded aluminum with an abrasive filler to provide extra traction. The stair tread plugs into any standard 120V or 240V outlet, melting up to two inches of falling snow per hour. No more shoveling, harsh chemicals or expensive embedded melting systems. The Melt-Away Aluminum Stair Treads are the convenient and reliable solution for removing snow and ice. Prevent accidents and potential liability issues before they happen!
The electrically operated heating element is sandwiched between two protective non-slip rubber surfaces allowing it to endure harsh weather. The stair treads are less expensive than melting snow through the use of embedded systems, in fact it costs as little as 60 cents a day to operate. They are extremely durable and designed to be left outside for the entire winter season. To ensure the product’s reliability, each product is built and tested according to the UL499 and CSA e335-1 electrical standard before leaving our facility. Each product comes with a 2 year warranty!

Aluminum Stair Treads (Sold in series of 3, 4 or 5)
The stair treads are available in an 11” depth and widths up to 8'. 11" depth is common under most building codes. Up to 10 aluminum stair treads can be in a single group and connected together with a single wire. Each group of stair treads has a 6-foot power cord that plugs into a standard outlet using its own equipment leakage circuit interrupter (ELCI). The stair treads are designed with 4 grommet holes to secure them and prevent movement.
