Thermostat (EH 38, manufactured by EasyHeat); 120V, 15 Amps
|

The EH38 plugs directly into any 120V outlet, and then acts as an outlet receptacle itself. Once the EH38 is plugged in, a Melt-Away mat can plug directly into the back of the EH38 thermostat. When installed, the convenient EH38 automatically energizes the mat at temperatures lower than 38°F/ 3°C and then shuts off power when the temperature rises to 50°F/ 10°C. The EH38 has a power indicator light that lights up when the thermostat is energized. The EH38 is designed only for 120V products, and can handle up to 15 Amps.

Thermostat & Snow Sensor Controller (DS-2B by ASE); 120V/240V, 30 Amps

The DS-2B is a snow sensing controller that will turn the mat on whenever it senses moisture AND the temperature is below 38 degrees Fahrenheit. This controller must be hardwired into the circuit by a certified electrician. Each DS-2B can handle up to 30 amps.

Snow & Temperature Control System for Large Applications
(CIT-1 & APS-3B, manufactured by ETI)

The CIT-1/ APS-3B combination is meant for large applications of Melt-Away products. The CIT-1 is a snow and moisture sensor that is mounted at least six feet off the ground (with no overhang above it). The CIT-1 connects to the APS-3B controller through standard outdoor electrical conduits (not provided by allMATS), which is mounted on the side of the building near the application. Many circuits can then be wired into the controller to energize multiple mats that may lie on the circuit. We recommend consulting with a certified electrician for wiring.

| Watertight Cable Extender - 20 Inches |
|
When your industrial stairs are more than 6 inches apart from each other you will need to use the 20-inch cable extender to connect Industrial Stair Mats together.
The 20-Inch Watertight Cable Extender is not compatible with Industrial Walkway Mats. Multiple cable extenders can be connected together to create custom length cables. The 20-Inch Cable Extender and 25-Foot Cable Extender can also be connected together.

The 25-Foot Watertight Cable Extender can be used with Industrial Stair Mats ("HRT" Series). The cable extension is not compatible with Industrial Walkway Mats. Multiple cable extenders can be connected together to create custom length cables. The 25-Foot Cable Extender and 20-Inch Cable Extender can also be connected together.
If the electrical outlet on your house or facility is further than 6' from the heated mats you will need to use an outdoor rated cable extender. This 25-Foot Watertight Cable Extender will provide an additional level of protection against water and moisture than other outdoor rated extension cords. To ensure a watertight seal, the cable extender has the same patented connectors as the heated stair mats.
