Warm Guard Windshield Heater

$160.75

Warm Guard Defroster by Powerblanket provides 130 watts of power to safely heat your car or truck’s windshield preventing snow and ice accumulation. Additionally, this product will raise the temperature of your car’s interior or truck’s cab, minimizing or even eliminating the need to scrape your windshield and side windows, and making your car comfortable to drive without waiting around, so you can get to work on time.

The Warm Guard™ Windshield Heater is good for the environment, eliminating wasted gasoline and preventing exhaust emissions which pollute our air and contribute to winter smog. Some municipalities have even made idling a truck illegal, making an electric truck dashboard heater the most practical option available for defrosting windows. The cost to operates the windshield heater is approximately 1 cent per hour, making it significantly cheaper than idling a car for 10 minutes and wasting gas and hurting fuel economy.

Instructions

Instructions for WarmGuard Windshield Heater (Car and Truck)

To use, place the windshield heater on your dashboard with the logo facing up towards your windshield. The heater comes with a 2-foot long cord, so it will need to be powered via an extension cord. Run the extension cord from the receptacle to the heater and plug in. The heater temperature is limited by an internal thermostat and will not exceed 160 °F (70 °C), approximately the temperature of a hot cup of coffee.  Before driving away, unplug the heater from the extension cord and move the heater off of your dashboard to keep it from blocking your truck’s defrost system.

Thermal Load is the amount of energy required to keep a space or object at a desired temperature.  When the environment is cooler than the desired temperature of the space or object, the thermal load is a heating load and is the amount of energy required to be added to the space or object in order to achieve the desired temperature.  All things being equal, the heating load will increase when the ambient air temperature decreases, or when the wind speed increases, or if the space or object is placed in contact with a large thermal mass, like a cold concrete floor.

Not typically, it depends on depth of concrete or asphalt but this not an advised solution.

Our two best sellers are the BH55-PRO which heats/protects a 55-gallon drum and the TH275 which heats/protects a 275 gallon IBC tote.

Powerblanket products use a patented heat spreading technology that has revolutionized effective heat spreading.  Powerblanket uses this technology exclusively in all of its products.  Powerblanket products are electrically powered and heated through internal preset thermostats inside the insulated blankets.
